The Ottawa Rotary Youth Forest (ORYF) is a new project aiming to plant 25,000 trees on 50 acres within the South Nation Conservation Area watershed.

In collaboration with indigenous stakeholders and various levels of government the ORYF has an objective of 2030 for completion with tree planting over 5 years commencing in 2025.

Engaging local high schools for tree planting volunteers, the ORYF is intended to instill a sense of environmental stewardship with the youth volunteers and provide a long term vehicle to mitigate climate change and support biodiversity.

This major new project provides a significant collaboration opportunity across Ottawa regional Rotary clubs in support of Rotary's 7th area of focus.
